Counseling Center Services

Your child will have the same counselor throughout Middle School.

Academic Services:

  • Placement and Scheduling

  • Weekly Team Meetings with Grade Level Teachers - for addressing barriers of students who are struggling

  • One on One Academic Interventions related to organization, time management, work completion

  • Parent Conferences

  • Student/Parent Orientation activities and meetings  

Emotional Services:

  • Individual Counseling

  • Group Counseling/Lunch Groups

  • Mediation (friendships)

  • Classroom lessons

Connectedness Survey:

The Connectedness Survey is conducted each year to gauge how students are feeling in terms of connectedness to peers, connectedness to staff, engagement in school activities, school safety, home safety, and overall emotional wellness. Students respond understanding the nature and limits of confidentiality. Students may also express concerns about peers. Grade level counselors review responses to address individual students and collect data to inform programming.
