Your child will have the same counselor for their entire Middle School experience.
Academic Services:
Scheduling and placement processes for all Middle School grade levels
High School planning and course selection
Weekly Team Meetings with Grade Level Teachers - to address barriers and lagging skills of students who are struggling as well as celebrating and recognizing those who are achieving
Classroom lessons on test taking, study skills, time management, and organization
One on one academic interventions related to organization, time management, work completion as needed
Parent Conferences
Student/Parent Orientation activities and meetings
New student transitions
Social/Emotional/Behavioral Services:
Short Term Individual Counseling
Referrals to outside services/agencies as needed
Group Counseling/Lunch Groups
Mediation (friendships) and Restorative Practices
