Mendon Youth Center Transportation

The Town of Mendon has announced an agreement with the HF-L Central School District regarding transportation for middle school students to the new Mendon Youth Center. Bus service will be provided beginning February 10th. This service is being provided on a trial basis and if successful, will be formalized at a later date with an agreement between the Town and the District. Transportation is not offered to high school students, as the Youth Center is within the high school walk zone established by District Policy .
The bus will leave the middle school at 2:15 pm from door number 7, and will drop off at the MYC after a brief stop at the high school. Transportation will only be provided for students with a bus pass from the Middle School Office. Parents can request transportation to the MYC for their students by contacting the transportation and middle school offices via an email or a note to stephanie.bean@hflcsd.org, paula.harvey@hflcsd.org, and middleschoolattendance@hflcsd.org no later than 11 am the day the service is requested.
The MYC is located at 15 Monroe Street is open for 6th thru 10th grade students on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 7pm. It includes activities such as pool, ping pong, foosball, air hockey and darts, as well as games and areas for study or just hanging out with their peers.  Professional staff will promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere to guide and facilitate activities with the students.  The Center is designed as a place for students to be active, socialize and to be more involved in the community we live.  Please direct any questions regarding the MYC to Mendonyouthcenter@townofmendon.org.
